PPPI

The Paragliding Pilot Proficiency Identification System

The purpose of this system is to streamline all technical information related to training and to introduce a standard reference for identifying Paragliding pilots skills across India through 6 levels of Rating Cards.

The PPPI system has been derived from training structure and rules & regulations of various established International Paragliding organisations. It has been fine-tuned to suit Indian conditions.

The PPPI Rating Card will be a handy proof of pilot's proficiency and experience.

The PPPI System

Rating or Licence ?

PAI PPPI Rating Card is not a license. The term 'license' is related to 'permit' or permission' and PAI is not the authority to "permit" or "deny" anyone form flying. The PAI PPPI Rating card will only be used to identify a pilot's skill level and experience.

Scope

In the absence of any form of a valid identification system in India that indicates a pilot's flying skills, PAI - as a national and responsible body for Paragliding in India, is filling this gap through its PPPI system and the Rating Card. The PPPI rating card would hence serve as a "National Card" for identifying pilots and their skills.

The purpose of this PPPI system is to streamline all technical information related to training and to introduce a standard reference for identifying Paragliding pilots skills across India through 6 levels of Rating Cards

PG1 : TASKS

The PG1 Rating issuance is handled by
PAI affiliated schools and not by PAI directly.
The rating system works closely with
the school training system.

While enrolling with the school for PG1,
the student also becomes an
Associate (AS) PAI Member.
